About Me:

“Guidance Without Judgment”

I provide contemplative based counseling services to clients in the Boulder/Denver area. I specialize in the facilitation of compassion and adaptive skill as individuals move through challenging life transitions.  I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling from Naropa University. My background includes work with stress management, diversity issues, life transitions, anxiety and depression, addictive patterns, relationship dynamics, self-esteem issues and trauma. My therapeutic style includes an integration of Gestalt therapy, Cognitive- Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness practice and Body-Centered Psychotherapy.  I see my role as therapist as the offering of unconditional acceptance of where my client is; while at the same time supporting my client's journey towards utilizing his/her own emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual resources. “Grasping at things can only yield one of two results: Either the thing you are grasping at disappears, or you yourself disappear. It is only a matter of which occurs first.”

Goenka

“In every work of genius we recognize our own rejected thoughts; they come back to us with a certain alienated majesty. Great works of art have no more affecting lesson for us than this. They teach us to abide by our spontaneous impression with good-humored inflexibility then most when the whole cry of voices is on the other side.” ~Emerson

“Transforming the habitual loneliness of separation into the true aloneness of intimacy is the fundamental human project, our real life’s work. That transformation frees us to love without depending on response or gratitude. ” Dharma Talk by Bonnie Myotai Treace, Sensei
